Almost Labor Day

One big change since the last update. I decided we should stay in Waseca for a while yet. I started thinking about the kids and they seemed so excited to go back to school. I don't want them to have to be the new guys in a different school, so I just decided to stay. No big deal, at least I'm still carpooling and I'm pretty used to the drive. Things could be worse, I could be in my brother's spot. Luis, mom, Amber, and I went to his plea hearing where he plead guily to violating his parole and of course the prosecutor wanted to give him 36mo in prison. Eli's lawyer pointed out that Eli had never gone to treatment because Waseca county never approved it, and talked the judge into considering a lighter sentence if Eli was able to go to treatment. Hopefully he'll get treatment and just get his probation reinstated. Anyway, Friday afternoon Lizzy, the kids, and I went to Moorehouse park in Owatonna and had a little cookout there. That night, Cris called and asked if I wanted to go out so I went out with him, Luis, Edgar, and Mario. It was alright, we went to Owatonna and hung out at what used to be Tejano's. We all got beat at pool by two old dudes(40+) until finally Mario and I beat them, with a killer bank shot that I made.

Yesterday we went to my tia Veva's for a party to celebrate little Abe's 1st bday. Sorry no pics, but it was a good time. Lizzy had to work that day so she could only stay for about an hour. The kids and I hung out at Luis's for a while then cruised and picked her up at 10:30. Oh, and Abraham and Veva are interested int the xl7, so I'm gonna go with them to see if they can get a loan for it. We'll see how it goes, I hope they get it it's a great vehicle for their growing family. I'll probably post in a couple of days for a labor day update, that's if we do anything. Another quick thing, Lizzy started school again and she has Thursday and Friday off, cool.
