I took last Friday off and we all went to the Mall of America's new Nickelodeon amusement park. The kids were pretty excited, they've been saying they want to go to Valley Fair, but only one of them is still excited about the idea. Right off the bat Keila wanted to go on every ride while little Alex was hesitant the second he looked up at the first. I have to give it to Alex though he got the guts to go on
Jimmy Neutron's Atomic Collider, and actually had fun up there. It was not that lame, it turned my stomach a little. Keila on the other hand, was
all out! She got off the collider and asked for seconds. The both of us went on
SpongeBob SquarePants Rock Bottom Plunge, which is about as well suited for kids as Sponge Bob himself. Keila didn't even blink, she loved it. Next stop---Valley Fair.
It's all good at the start
then it got a little tense

This was the drop at the SpongeBob ride--not even Liz would get on

We bought a bunch of "points" at Nickelodeon and we ended up with a bunch left over. I actually asked a couple of people if they wanted to buy some but I got shot down like 4 times. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw three people loitering around one of the automated ticket dispensers so I mozied on over. It was three younger Chicanos trying to figure out how much they could afford, so I offered my ticket and they jumped on it. Sweet. Mission accomplished.
Aw, poor little guy looks very distraught. I can't believe he really freaked a bit on the ride. Keila, she was loving it all the way. I want to go back! :)
