This Economy Thing

So we're in the middle of some of the worst economic conditions in a very long time. Trillions of dollars are being given to banks and to the automotive industry by the US Govt to try and keep everything afloat. I hadn't really seen an effect myself but a lot of my family who work in factories are really feeling the pain. Cris got laid off, Mario is seeing shorter work hours, along with my mom and Uncle, plus my brothers can't find jobs. Circuit City is bankrupt, Microsoft is laying off thousands along with Yahoo, and many other big-name employers--both tech and non-tech. Times are really tight. It looks like work is still solid where I work. We're still shooting for growth albeit more conservative than usual. I hope Liz can find a job when she graduates but teaching jobs in MN are looking dismal. Hopefully it will help that she's bilingual. Hopefully this whole thing turns around soon.
