Thanksgiving 07

We spent thanksgiving this year at Cris's and I have to say it was kind of boring. There was no planning or set-up or feeling of Thanksgiving. I guess we were missing a lot of the older family, my Mom was only there for about an hour, and once she was gone there were no other adults outside of our peer group. We didn't even have bird until about 7:30 pm and then it was pretty haphazard. We weren't even going to give thanks!! Well, I didn't go for that so even though it wasn't my house I decided someone had to take some sort of leadership role so I got everyone together and we all said what were were thankful for. For a second there it kinda felt like a Holiday.

After dinner we sat around and stared at each other, then went out for like an hour to play pool. So it was a pretty forgettable holiday overall. I guarantee a better Xmas and New Year's experience!!

Ahh, but I digress for a second to note that I am thankful we were all together, healthy, and with plenty of food on our plates. I've had some pretty bad Thanksgivings and this one wasn't on that level, it was just lackluster. On to the next holiday!!
