We went apartment hunting in the Eagan area a few weeks ago and we found a great place. It's a townhome about 5 minutes from work and it's in a great community. We're only a couple of miles (even blocks) away from the grocery store, b&n, bww, best buy, restaurants, everything! Pretty sweet. It's about a grand a month but it's a decent deal for the area. We even have a washer & dryer.
In preperation for the move we sold the 95 accord. There was a lot of interest and I even got two buyers there at the same time. Kinda weird, but hey-I got what I was asking. If I wanted to drive a hard bargain, I could have tried to squeeze some more out of it, but whatever, I'm not gonna do that for a few extra bucks. One guy actually came a couple of days earlier waving cash around and offering like 300 bucks less than I wanted. Whatever, like showing me the money is gonna make me stupid.
Anyway, I'm gonna use some of the cash to build a new htpc. The pc we have right now is pretty fast, but it doesn't have a tuner and it's about 4 years old so it doesn't have the hp to run a dual tuner setup--plus it's kinda limited cuz it's a sff pc and uses the old school pci expansion slots. I think I can sell it for about 350 - 400 bucks with a monitor and an hp printer scanner copier. Actually that's a great freakin' deal.
The htpc I'm building is running me about $675, so I figure I'm getting it for about half that, once I sell my old one. The new pc is a great set-up too, quad core, 4gigs of ram 500gb hd, decent ati video card, dual hd tuners. nice.
